Shane Cochran, Attorney at Law
Shane is a true Nebraskan, a native of Ogallala and outside of his time in college, has lived his entire life in Nebraska. He resides in Kearney with his wife, Whitney.
Shane graduated Summa Cum Laude from Dakota Wesleyan University in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. While completing his undergraduate degree, Shane was a member of the Student Senate and participated in collegiate baseball. Shane received his Juris Doctorate from the UNL College of Law in May of 2011. While in law school, Shane was an active member of the Delta Thea Phi legal fraternity.
Shane is admitted to practice in the Nebraska State Courts as well as the United States District Court for the District of Nebraska. He is also a member of the Nebraska State Bar Association and the Buffalo County Bar Association. Shane has been practicing law and advocating for his clients for the last decade, from the county court level all the way through successful arguments in the Court of Appeals.
Shane loves to volunteer in the community and is currently on the board of directors for both the Kearney Area Animal Shelter in Kearney, Nebraska and the Cheyenne County Hospital Foundation in Sidney, Nebraska.
During his free time, Shane loves to golf, play video games and spending time with his wife Whitney and their three dogs: an English bulldog named Hodor, a miniature dachshund named Roxy, and a miniature schnauzer named Cricket.
Whitney Cochran, legal assistant
Whitney was raised in Sidney, Nebraska and believes in the Nebraska state motto: “the good life”.
She graduated Cum Laude from Chadron State College in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting. While completing her undergraduate degree she was a member of the business honor society, Delta Mu Delta. Whitney graduated with her Masters in Business Administration from Chadron State College in May of 2020. Her unique experiences and background in accounting make her an ideal assistant for complicated property division.
Whitney loves working with her husband and is dedicated to providing the best service possible for clients.
During her free time, she likes to join Shane on the golf course, painting, playing video games with her international friends, and enjoying time with her family.
